Belle// her nose stuck in a book
Probably not quite what [info]lettersandliars intended, but I thought I would give it a shot at 3 a.m. anyhow.... I did a quick research on zombies and thought it would be fun to toy with some of the zombie myths.

Summary: In which Sora faces a zombie for the first time evar and is thoroughly bamboozled.

"Here is a friendly tip," Jack Skellington said while doing some strange, complicated dance that involved alot of awkward looking jerking of various limbs, "stay in the populated areas of Halloween Town. They are populated for a reason."

When pressed for more information Jack merely shook his head, leaning forward to press a hand gravely to Sora's shoulder, "There are a lot of undead things in Halloween Town. Some things should have remained just dead."

And it's not like Sora intentionally wandered off the beaten path. It was just that his internal compass left much to be desired (which was why Donald was often bitching complaining about his driving) and really is it his fault that Halloween Town is so peculiar that when he finally stumbled into a desolate city block it didn't phase him in the least that a few (as in, all) the windows were broken?

But when he heard the voice carried on the wind moaning kill the one with the key Sora decided it was probably a good time to get the hell out of Dodge.

When he saw the first pale, discolored face appear in an empty window; one eyeball dangling from the socket and most of the skin looking weathered and leathery and too close to the skull to be natural he realized that his epiphany to leave probably should have came about half an hour ago.

So when Sora turned to run exit in a fashion befitting the hero of worlds and came face to face (to face to face to face, how many of those things were there?) to what could only be referred to as a horde of similar creatures he lost control long enough for Roxas to bleed through with an ever eloquent "well fuck."

The speed the dead (undead?) things exibited was not the problem. Their shambling gait was hardly fear inducing and it would really surprise Sora more if one of them managed to take more than three steps without pausing somewhere in between. No, what was cause for concern was their apparant resilence. Which, really, probably accounted for how any of them were able to continue moving when they were already missing a few limbs (it was always so hard to take an enemy serious when he was hopping at you on his one leg). Nothing seemed capable of stopping them! Sure, those fireballs had slowed them down a bit but he now he had to tend with lumbering fiery dead things chasing after him.

knock their heads off, Roxas had hissed, sending a tendril of consciousness through Sora's arm as the nobody tried for control, nothing can move if it doesn't have a head, that's just basic logic.

Resisting the urge to point out that nothing they had ever seen seemed to follow any logic so why start now, Sora settled instead on this little gem; "Do you really want to get close enough to hit them in the head? Keyblade or not there's a lot of them and only one (well...) of us," and they both winced with Sora's body as a vivid mental image flashed through of what could very well happen to them.

So Sora did the only thing he could logically think of at that particular moment. He ran. Fast. Not that he (still) had any idea where he was going, but anywhere had to be better than here.

Until he reached THE WALL, for there was no other way to describe the impossible to scale (he would know, he did try jumping it) brick wall that expanded the width of the street and with more (you know, Axel and I came across something like these once. Those were called Zonbi. "well thank you for that tittalating fact right before we DIE") zombies or whatever pouring out of the surrounding buildings, closing in on all sides Sora couldn't help but sum up the whole situation "well fuck."
